Our story
2020 - An Idea
It is December 2020, and Lauren Bruggemans, John Epps, and Jilska Chandrasena have just received confirmation for registering We Are One United as a new nonprofit and social enterprise organization.
First Steps
Virtual Cafés gave us the chance to meet people, network, and gain new skills during the pandemic.
2021 - A New Beginning
It is June 2021 and We Are One United official logo and branding is born!

Bigger Team, New Challenges
Say hi to us at James O. Jessie Desert Highland Unity Center in July 2022. Our team has welcomed four new members, and this event marked our first significant gathering together.
New Virtual Chapter
September 2022 marks a new beginning for our Virtual Cafés. We have grown bigger, become more diverse, and have created a network of local professionals.
2023 - New Year, New Challenges
We started 2023 with a bang! We found new team members and came up with amazing new programs and opportunities for the upcoming year.

We are proud to announce that our Career Fair was held on March 30th, 2023, at Palm Springs High School. As part of the program, we had the privilege of hosting a professional and experienced panel, providing invaluable insights and guidance.
